LATEST ON MICHIGAN VOTER INTEGRITY

Michigan Republicans conducted an 8-month investigation into allegations of 2020 election fraud. Their conclusion: "The results of the Michigan election are accurately represented by the certified and audited results."

The conservative Christian farmer chosen by Republicans to lead their investigation said:

"There is no evidence of significant or organized acts of fraud. Michiganders are good people, and they’re being lied to [by] those who have pushed demonstrably false theories for their own personal gain." -GOP Sen. Ed McBroom (Chair)

Despite this, state legislators have written 39 bills this year restricting the rights of American citizens to freely vote in future elections.

These changes add special barriers for working parents, veterans, and the elderly.

WHAT'S IN THE NEW VOTING RESTRICTIONS?

Many of the new bills limit close voting outside of regular work hours.  So if you can't take off work, you can't vote in person.

This restriction is made all the worse by bills pushing major reductions in early and mail-in voting, the option many workers and elderly chose in 2020.

Dozens more bills limit the time allowed for counting ballots, as they add more layers of bureaucracy to the process.
